Welcome to the Rockford Photo Club Website.
2015 has started off to be a great year. Here we are in the spring already. I know all club members are anxious to get out and start shooting beautiful flowers and sunsets. We had a very successful Charlie Beffa Black and White contest in March. Club members are improving their skills and it showed in the black and white photos. The two contest categories continue to be successful. Those members who choose to use only their cameras to create their photos have increased. Part of being a photographer is knowing your camera and knowing how to take great photos without having to rely on Lightroom and Photoshop. That category - the Realistic Category - continues to be a big contest category. For those members who want to test their creative side and use Lightroom and Photoshop, the Enhanced Category is for them. There have been some gorgeous enhanced photos entered in contests. The two contest category continue to compliment each other and gives the membership two great choices for entering contests.
Come join us. We welcome all photographers of all different levels. No matter how small your camera or how large, there is alway something to learn. Check out our agenda and plan your visit.
The Rockford Photo Club generally holds it's meetings on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month beginning at 7:00 p.m. We currently meet in the lower level meeting room of the Riverfront Museum Park Building, 711 North Main Street, Rockford. We welcome visitors as well as new members. Come and check us out!
